PHASE 58 (TAURUS 28°): A WOMAN, PAST HER "CHANGE OF LIFE," EXPERIENCES A NEW LOVE.
KEYNOTE: Man's capacity to rise in consciousness and feelings above biological limitations.
After having stated the youthful and the aged approach of the human individual to the use of what his culture has brought to him, the symbolism stresses man's capacity to rise above the limitations which both biological nature and the "normal" social pattern of behavior have tried to impose on him. As in many of the preceding symbols, a "woman" is pictured, because at this early stage of the cyclic process the individual consciousness still has a receptive or "feminine" polarity — as was indicated in the very first symbol of the entire cycle (Aries 1°).
Whenever this third stage of the twelfth sequence is brought to a person's consciousness, the indication is that he or she should freely open his or her mind to the possibility of always new REBEGINNINGS. Ideally, the new beginning should imply a more mature response to the new possibility of experience.

PHASE 224 (SCORPIO 14°): TELEPHONE LINEMEN AT WORK INSTALLING NEW CONNECTIONS.
KEYNOTE: The need to establish new channels of communication.
The growth of community feeling among separated human beings requires the development of constantly more complex means of interchanging feelings and ideas. Wherever this symbol for Scorpio 14° is found, the indication is that such channels of communication are essential for the success of any interpersonal relationship. They are not only to be built, but to be used significantly and wisely.
This fourth stage symbol brings to our attention the essential value of communicating with our fellow men and even our close associates — with whom such a communication may not always be easy. There can be no communion without communication at some level, including the level of biological attunement. Keyword: THE WILL TO ASSOCIATION or COMPREHENSION.
Aries 29: A celestial choir singing
Harmonics...
A core theme within Aries 29 concerns harmonics, three-part harmonies, and the number nine.
Poetically, one could say that when a man or woman is in harmony with heaven and earth, the highest harmonic is sung by a heavenly choir rather than your voice alone. Perhaps the lowest is sung by earth. And man, is the harmonic bridge between.
As a practical application, think of human communication as a matter of creating harmonics in discourse. that would mean a way of engaging and responding to what an other says such that voice and content is harmonically uplifted. Such an approach to communication would tend not to be loud and 'me' focused. But it would supplant the style of communication that is like two steam locomotives running head on to each other.

Libra 16: A boat landing washed away
Repair...
After any important breakthrough, such as a moment of profound illumination, there is a repair phase. You can feel wiped out... washed away... and sometimes that is a disconcerting situation. Some may wonder that something is wrong somewhere, somehow.
But there is nothing wrong. If you had a wonderful day yesterday, for example, today may seem strange. Perhaps you are tired or somehow not maintaining the peak experience that you felt would last forever.
Libra 16 points to a natural time of assimilation and integration. It is a process and natural development operating on a very deep level. Think of it as a level of trust that all is well and working out as it should, regardless of any apparent difficulties.
When a storm washes out a boat dock, trade does not cease altogether. It goes through a repair phase. When an illness wipes you out, the body takes the time to heal and repair.
No blame.

Aries 0-1 A Woman Rises Out Of Water, A Seal Rises And Embraces Her
When I started looking for images about this, the web led me to the legend of the Seal-Woman, or the Selkie-folk which are part of Celtic folklore.
https://www.astronarrative.com/aries-01-a-woman-rises-out-of-water-a-seal-rises-and-embraces-her.html
The selkies live as seals in the sea but shed their skin to become human on land (as part of a ritual). The stories are generally romantic tragedies where a selkie maiden only has contact with humans for a short time before going back to her true home, the sea. Often this means that children and/or a husband on land is left behind. Sometimes the selkie is going back to a sea-family that she was "kidnapped" from, once a man on land took her pelt and therefore made her his wife. Sometimes a selkie woman changes back into a seal to save her unwitting fisherman husband from drowning, but she cannot change back into a human, so they are thereafter separated anyway.
To me I wonder if the "embracing"seal is actually the seal pelt being taken off the underlying human form. There are many selkie stories, and if you have this symbol, then your story is another version again (you don't have to fit the myths that have already been told - we are all unique and having a unique time in our current lives).
In Marc E. Jones' original book "The Sabian Symbols in Astrology", this symbol was "A Woman Rises Out of the Ocean, A Seal is Embracing Her", however his original hand-written notes at the time of channelling the symbols were "A Woman Rises Out Of Water, A Seal Rises And Embraces Her" (and these notes are faithfully photocopied in Diana Roche's book "The Sabian Symbols: A screen of Prophecy").
As a geologist/scientist, I am a big fan of using the original data (yes, try not laugh at the application of science to this very esoteric subject!) When scientists observe something, we are encouraged to just describe what we see without interpreting what it means. For example, what percentage of dark or light minerals in a rock, what shape, etc etc. If instead of describing what you see, you instead record your interpretation, then people are not able to find out later if what you interpreted was in fact based on what you saw. As science progresses and humans learn more, we are able to change our interpretations even though the original material hasn't changed. So in the act of recording what we see, we are creating a legacy of truth that helps future generations.
With the Sabian Symbols, we don't have the visual images, but we can try to use the original material and make our own personal interpretation of how these symbols play out in our lives.
The original symbol implies that there are two entities, a woman and a seal, so the seal could be a pelt, or it could be another member of her seal "family" embracing her. Yes just a subtle difference, but it is up to YOU to feel what resonates.
Further I had a shower-thought about this symbol in relation to its 0-1 Aries/ Cancer/ Libra/ Capricorn cross as follows:
The Selkie is shedding a skin to inhabit a human world, and the Aries symbol is focussed on the process of conscious transformation. The Libra 0-1 A Butterfly Made Perfect By A Dart Through It refers to a something that has already finished its transformations - from caterpillar to butterfly at least, and now that it is pinned (in death by the way!) there are no more transformations. It is perfectly still, preserved, possibly even "complete" in terms of "finished".
Cancer 0-1 A Furled And An Unfurled Flag Displayed From A Vessel, if we feel like this is next in the sequence from the Aries Selkie, also shows both furled and unfurled signals, that is, there is still more to "unfurl", develop, or bloom/grow. I speculate that the vessel refers to a sea-going ship, one that carries more people, and we know that flags are for identification and signaling to other boats. In a variation on the theme of identity, the Capricorn 0-1 An Indian Chief Demanding Recognition is an obvious symbol of power, identity and ego. The Chief is demanding that we see him as the rightful leader.
All the elements of the cross have the theme of visual identity, and vary from Aries and Cancer transitions to Libra fixed and Capricorn imposing this identity on the tribe. As we spiral upwards, we continue shedding skins (Aries), learning and experiencing ourselves within the home of ourselves (or with others in the same "boat" such as families - Cancer), until we have completed our transition (Libra) and demand to be seen as who we now are (Capricorn). Or in another direction, the chief could go back to Libra in perfect, static symbol of himself; Aries could go back to demanding recognition of either human or seal (or Selkie!); someone, on the vessel with furled and unfurled signals, could reveal herself away from their home (sea) or original family (seals); and the Libra butterfly can choose to be "unfinished" and refine, revise their experiences in the Cancerian vessel. What say you?
Does any part of the symbol resonate with you?

Virgo 16: An orangutan
The "orangutan" degree touches upon the juncture of raw life energy and civilized refinement.
From the perspective of civilized behavior and social manners, all ways of comporting oneself are buoyed by a natural influx or uprising of pure life energy. This is, for the most part, a good thing.
From the perspective of raw animal power, there can be a 'breaking free' of the controlling, caging tendencies of civilized refinements. This is, for the most part, an interesting, if not crucial thing.
Recall stories of 'wild' boys raised by the wolves, tigers and bears. The wild ones are caged, at first literally, then by social refinement. Tarzan in a tux. Does Jane prefer Tarzan in a tux or is the jungle man the object of her inspiration? Hmmmm...
Or, consider the Incredible Hulk bursting out of another new shirt. Besides the 'incredible' costs a constantly replacing clothing apparel, what breaks this wild-man free is a rush of anger. Hmmmm... maybe not so good.
Today, there is an intricate inter-connection of planetary energies. The Sun in the 'wild-man' degree is polished and refined by many other concerns. The result will manifest in many ways... of course!... but in general, all things will be conspicuously 'more alive'.

FIRST LEVEL: ACTIONAL
PHASE 331 (PISCES 1°): IN A CROWDED MARKETPLACE FARMERS AND MIDDLEMEN DISPLAY A GREAT VARIETY OF PRODUCTS.
KEYNOTE: The process of commingling and interchange which at all levels demonstrates the health of a community.
In any twelve-fold division of a complete cycle (for instance the 12 zodiacal signs and the 12 Houses of a birth chart) the twelfth section often has been given a negative significance. It can refer to oppressive conditions as it represents a "closing of accounts," a final evaluation of the harvest of the cycle. A very bad harvest may lead to bankruptcy; a premature revolt may bring the rebel to jail; the dissolute may end in a hospital. In this section of the cycle a man reaps what he has sown. But it may also be honors, social prestige, the interests of well-managed wealth. In this twenty-fourth scene what is stressed is the coming together, in a final experience of community, of all factors previously experienced; this means constructive interaction and an interchange of the products of social activity. In a practical sense, the symbol, whenever it is found, emphasizes that the time has come to take full advantage of the social opportunities to bargain and to trade.
This is the first stage of the process related to the sixty-seventh five-fold sequence of symbols. It refers to all that can be gained from social interplay and especially, in the broadest sense of the word, from COMMERCE.
Leo 16: Sunshine just after a storm
"Sunshine just after a storm" 16 Leo
Theme: Dramatic Shift
Inspiration: Pervasive shifts in mood and conscious awareness is like dramatic changes in weather.
Today: Call it 'Change your mind' day. Not change your mind about this or that; change your mind in a deep way of attitude that spreads influence upon all experience.
Feeling down? All changes today. Feeling elated? A more somber sobriety will even you out.
Consider how when you get something in your head, as the expression goes, and thereby colour everything in the field of your experience. Often this happens with our full compliance as if it is a right to be this way or that towards everyone and everything. But imagine if you foresaw the creative potential in this pervasive human shift capacity?
Be alert for a breakthrough in mood disposition... like sunshine just after a storm. Consider how your whole comportment towards life and all that which comes within it can be creatively influenced by a conscious shift in attitude.
It is a day of self blessings: dark moods can brighten; even moods can spread like wings; bright moods can illumine; and dark moods can motivate. In this way, for whatever you deeply desire, you can change your mind effectively.
Aquarius 1: An old adobe mission
In for the long haul...
Endurance is a characteristic of Aquarius 1. Think of the adobe missions built in the early settling of California. They still stand today.
As a human characteristic, endurance suggests that something worth pursuing is worth pursuing all the way. Looking to the fixed mate Scorpio symbol "A sight-seeing bus", we get the feeling of the expression, "You buy your ticket and you take your ride"... in other words, once you have committed to a bus ride, you tend to follow through on where it takes you.
Another thread of sense in Aquarius 1 is that of 'starting'. Indeed all 1st degree symbols point to a start of some kind. For Aquarius 30, the start is a 'mission'... something to set out for, to work on... that follows the decisions made in Capricorn 30.
So, imagine a powwow where a bold new policy or project is considered. Here in the 1st degree Aquarius, we find the resolve to get out there and make it happen.

Cancer 16: A man before a square with a manuscript scroll before him
Theme: Instinctual Interpretation.
Inspiration: Think of interpretation as not just a matter of opinion or surface sense spin. Think of it as decoding hidden sense… and deeper urges.
Today: The man who unravels mandalas in order to reveal deep lying sense, is aware that it is not a matter of personal opinion… that is there is very little that is personal at stake.
A square and a scroll call for a facility with interpretive tools. imagine a lever implemented to pry something open, yet the lever is a mirror, a reflective device that allows something to be seen behind the scenes.
Energies today are such that one would like to be liked: emotions are pointedly intense; lightning attractions rouse passions; one could fall easily to the flattering fawn. It is the kind of day when wee babies are conceived through compellingly intense emotional attractions. When even the aged philosopher may dream a crimson moon of passion, imagine then, what the young may get up to.
Gemini 16: A woman suffragist orating
"A woman suffragist orating" 16 Gemini
This symbol is illuminated 2:25 AM EDT June 5 (6:25 AM GMT, June 5)
Theme: Being heard
Inspiration: The art of effective speaking out is knowing when one will be heard.
Today: Most have experienced times when having something important to say lands upon cold reception.
Imagine addressing a problem with a bureaucratic administrator, for example. How often do the arbitrary machinations of procedure mute the voice of effective reason or even common sense?
Knowing when to strike, when to speak, how to say something of importance in the right way, is everything.
The woman suffragist suggests this for today: remain calm within your fervent belief. The shrill voice of complaint does turn the ear deaf. It is demeanour that holds the space wherein one can be heard. Cool, intrepid, yet with a light touch for serious matters, thus on his day a man will be heard

(Sagittarius 1° to Sagittarius 15°)
FIRST LEVEL: ACTIONAL
PHASE 241 (SAGITTARIUS 1°): RETIRED ARMY VETERANS GATHER TO REAWAKEN OLD MEMORIES.
KEYNOTE: The will to reaffirm the value of the struggle upon which civilization and group-achievements are founded.
Two important factors are revealed in this symbol: the men who have come together are Army men, and they are linked by actions and a type of consciousness that have roots in a common past. What we call “civilization” is built by constant struggles against nature, for it seeks to wrench power from nature. This element of power is seen in its most obvious aspect in the military consciousness. Moreover, all civilization is built upon the accumulated products of the experiences of past generations of dedicated men who agree to follow rather rigid procedures of work. Veterans’ groups in all countries seek to rekindle in their members the old fire of well-fought battles; but the type of abstract or religious thinking normally related to the zodiacal sign, Sagittarius, also implies a special kind of “fire.” It is a fire that burns the “now” of natural living in order to build a greater “tomorrow.” It is future-oriented It aspires to produce a greater, wider civilization, even though it finds its roots in the harvest of mankind’s past. Comradeship and group activities are implied, but the togetherness is one of fighting spirits.
This is the first stage of the forty-ninth five-fold sequence of cyclic phases. The symbol should be understood in its widest and most basic meaning, not merely as the reunion of old comrades, but as referring to the very power implied in the process of civilization, as opposed to culture — thus to the PERPETUATION of the spirit of struggle for power.
Taurus 16: An old man attempting vainly to reveal the Mysteries
"An old man attempting vainly to reveal the mysteries" 16 Taurus
THEME: Serious tenacity
Inspiration: Attempting vainly to convey something of importance often stirs a renewed effort to try again, prevailing conditions permitting.
Today: If conditions are not right to transmit an important message just now, go along with whatever set-up foundation you can achieve, and wait for a better time.
Actually, it is easy to be far too serious, tenacious and almost completely ineffective when this degree-symbol is in sway. Today, however, an inclination to just go along with things softens the potential discomfiting failure.
Treat tenacious urges as a drive to adhere to what is true. But avoid pushing tenaciously hard to get your point across all at once. A good book sets the stage for its mysteries to be revealed in later chapters. In human affairs, an analogous approach works best today.
Mercury is now traversing Scorpio and is on Scorpio 2: A BROKEN BOTTLE AND SPILLED PERFUME
This can be a beautifully evocative Symbol, bringing up memories from the past, reminders of things perhaps long gone, feelings of love, joy, wholeness, completeness, etc, can come up. However, we may also feel that we need to let something go. We might be ok on the surface, but things can be brewing underneath. This is a fabulous degree for assessing where you might feel that something, perhaps yourself, is ‘Broken’. How to find wholeness again? Imagine that bottle beautiful and perfect – a reflection of your true inner light and perfection. Picture that bottle whole and healed. This can work wonders.
This Symbol implies something fragile and beautiful that may somehow be shattered or lost. It can also show the need to let things go and not hang onto them to the point of shattering and loss. There will be times of building up or concentrating your emotions until they are suddenly let out. There may be little that you can do about an outburst, but you may need to be careful of what you do as you sort things out. Sometimes things need to be “Broken” so that their contents can be released and fully appreciated or revealed. The smell of “Perfume” can release memories of love, longing and desire, but also anger, hurt or jealousy.
Memories lingering on. Spilled emotions. Scents or aromas. Upsetting people. Shattered emotions. Chiropractors. Back surgeons. Genie let out of the bottle. Breaking glass.
The Caution: Things looking good, but contents disappointing. The desire for drama. Bad smells. Substance abuse. Emotional mess. Smelling salts. Passing out. Accidents. Loss.

Aries 16: Brownies dancing in the setting sun
Theme: Spirit healing
Inspiration: We know little of how much unseen entities and spirits help us during our time of rest.
Today: Consider this: Brownies… those spirits of other dimensional reality who do love to help out so much… dance in order to shift and balance our vibrational realities into harmony, healing and healthy function.
The way to work with Brownies, or any other spirit being in accordance with your affinities and calling, is to relax and welcome their caring examination of just what is fit for you at this juncture in your life.
The trick is to go with the flow, without resistance or energy blocking disbelief. The setting sun indicates the end of a long day's labours. Rest, relax and step back from all emotionally charged concerns.
Few question what it is we do when sleep takes us over. The better question may be 'What is done while we sleep?"

Libra 2: The Light of the Sixth Race Transmuted to the Seventh
Uplifting...
Libra 2 is a symbol easy to become all 'esoteric' about. Reference to 'times of humanity' shifting into a different, climactic age sounds fine I suppose, but what is the experience of Libra 2?
Libra 2 manifests often in individual reality as a knack for uplifting situations. All two degree symbols have a striking affect on others and the surroundings. Libra 2 tends to brighten up any situation and, like the opposing Aries symbol, "A comedian entertaining a group", tends to do so cheerfully.
Obviously, these are handy people to have around. If the mood is somber, ask a Libra 2 over for tea. If communication has reached a stalemate, ask a Libra 2 to bring some jokes. If tempers are running a little hot, ask a Libra 2 to lighten the tension.

Pisces 17: An Easter promenade
Walk this way...
The way into understanding Pisces 17, "An Easter promenade" lies in the opposing degree, Virgo 17 "A volcano in eruption". The idea is to feel the enormous burst of powerful energies and yet place them in a social context, such as going for a stroll on a lovely Easter afternoon.
In previous Sabian symbol posts for this degree, I have described this as 'the wild man in polite society'. Picture someone who has had the most moving inspiration, rushing out into the street to tell everybody.
Chances are that if someone is erupting in excitement and intensity... like a volcano in eruption... it is unlikely that everyday, polite society is ready or even able to receive the news. This is the challenge of Pisces 17.
The dynamic tends to flow this way: there are high, rigid social standards and expectations. Perhaps even severe moral standards. One feels the need to duck and dive around the oppressive social atmosphere, but then, it becomes all too much and an inner force of sheer inspiration bursts forth. The inspired individual runs out into the streets proclaiming his or her new truth! Alas, the reception is less enthusiastic. But as time and development goes on, there is an uplifting influence, perhaps through humour, perhaps through force of persevering character.
It might like remembering a time of youthful inspiration, shouting out on the streets, barking at the moon, singing outside of your girl-friend's window and waking her parents. Seems funny in retrospect...

“Good to know you have a friend.”
Virgo 4° A colored child playing with white children
This is a symbol of the actual illimitability of human relationships, dramatized here in the more personal and wholly specialized environment of everyday affairs. There are no facets of man’s character that cannot be built into the fabric of both a whole self and an integrated group, but each one of them must always have its own unconditioned manifestation. These are differences which as embraced in mutual appreciation become the basis of all conscious being or individual satisfaction.
The Keyword is INTIMACY.
When positive, the degree is successful participation in every possible variety of experience, and when negative, lack of capacity for psychological adjustment.

Aquarius 19: A forest fire quenched
"A forest fire quenched" 19 Aquarius
Theme: Satisfaction
Inspiration: The trick to true satisfaction lies in an encircling process of delayed gratification.
Today: Think about it. if you extinguish the desire, where does the joy of satisfaction go?
Forest fires burn with a hunger that defies immediate extinguishing. The technique of controlling a fire is more one of managing the laws of combustion such that what the fire wildly desires is gradually denied, rather than putting the fire out all at once.
In human affairs, and especially in human passion and desires, a little self-control goes a long way to fulfill a truly satisfying experience.
In the words of Lilly von Schtupp ("I'm Tired" from Blazing Saddles), "Men are always coming and going and going and coming and always coming too soon".
In social affairs, be accepting of the slow process to get something going. In emotional dramas, circle the hot point without fuelling the fire.
The contemplative wayfarer also continues to tend the flame of spirit and enlightened desire by means of encompassing focus.
Leo 5: Rock formations on the edge of a precipice
"Rock formations at the edge of a precipice" 5 Leo
Theme: Up against it
Inspiration: An immediate resolution is demanded, yet one is unsure if there is anywhere to go.
Today: Information may come in today that demands a decision. It is as if one is up against it… an expression illustrated by having your back to a wall with only a yawning abyss before.
The good news is that human being is at its best under such circumstances because such circumstance slice right to the heart of the conditions for being human.
For example, imagine something valued in your life on the verge of crashing. Immediate action is called for if there is any chance of saving matters. Even when all seems lost, consider fashioning an alternative path or solution. It may not seem at first like the direct answer, but it will suffice to save what counts.
Potentially an exciting day with energies that can stir exciting ideas and plans… even entirely new paradigms for how you view yourself and the world.
Capricorn 21: A relay race
Parallel lines that never meet...
All 21st degree symbols deal with a core theme: 'line'.
In a relay race, there are lanes demarcated for contestants to race within. Inside a single lane, team mates must negotiate a hand-off of some kind, such as passing the baton.
Symbolically, 'passing the baton' suggests passing an instrument of power and control to someone else. Hence we expect to find individuals in Capricorn 21 that work with others and await their own turn at carrying the baton.
Another theme in the relay race concerns parallel tracks that never intersect. Imagine a relationship that never really takes hold because it seems as if at no point do the two people in question ever intersect.
Or, imagine living parallel lives but never meeting. There is often a sense of sadness and disappointment when this is experienced. But there is also a strong suggestion that reason deeper than ordinary human understanding keeps two paths from crossing.

The Sabian Symbol for Cancer 7: TWO FAIRIES (NATURE SPIRITS) DANCING ON A MOONLIT NIGHT – I am quoting the entire text from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom…
‘Two Fairies (Nature Spirits) Dancing On a Moonlit Night’ is a beautiful image of lightness, fun and carefree joy. The fact that they are ‘Fairies’ or ‘Nature Spirits’ shows wonderful energy that can be enjoyed and marveled at. That they are ‘Dancing on a Moonlit Night’ brings an element of fantasy and beauty—however, there can be a lack of reality. The relationship of the ‘Two Fairies’ can be wonderful for special occasions, particularly during romantic moments on a ‘Moonlit Night’, but when daylight comes they may have to return to the real world.
Your intuition and imagination may be heightened now, with a stronger sense of your spiritual or emotional centers. Allow your creativity to flow without worrying about its usefulness. Finding a friend, or friends, to share things with will enhance your experience. Some caution, though, is necessary. One can get lost in abstractions and fantasies that can lead away from the truth that should really be faced. For now, life may seem wonderful, perhaps idyllic and romantic, but how do, or will, things measure up in the clear light of day? What will happen if you forget being rational and just enjoy what’s happening? What is really going on? Are you truly communicating and understanding each other, or just playing around because it feels good, or somehow familiar? This Symbol certainly shows the need for some fun or emotional release. At the end of the day; we all need a release of the inner spirit. Reality may appear slightly hazy at the moment, like everything could slip away in a minute. However, you can reap rewards by letting your dreams wander into the realms of ‘Fairies and Nature Spirits’. Before you go to sleep, try thinking of this Symbol and watch for messages in your dreams.
Keywords: Usually invisible astral realms. Reconnecting with the feminine. Dancing. Avoiding harsh reality. Slipping away somewhere unnoticed. Seeing what’s usually hidden. Romances that have difficulty in the real world. Dreams and fantasies. Sharing common ground. Full moon celebrations. Moonlight. Sunlight. Couples inspirited. Women celebrating. Other realms. Invoking fantasies. Moondances.
The Caution: Losing one’s self in emotional dreaming. Not seeing the reality of the other you’re “dancing” with. Lacking responsibility. Escapist attitudes vs. serious decisions. Relationships with no earthly reality or substance. Something too good to be true. Finding it hard to connect with others.
Sagittarius 23: Immigrants entering
When first I set foot in this land...
Actually, it is the moment before first setting foot on land. The idea is to feel the anticipation mixed with both an anxious sense of future prospects and trembling uncertainty. The body may manifest corresponding symptoms such as feeling weak in the knees, or having stiff and sore legs.
Anyone who has been on a boat for a long time, knows that the first step on land, on dock, is potentially an awkward one.
"Immigrants entering" also carries the emotional sense of what is being left behind... the homeland, the ways of home, the lose of the securities that the homeland provided... plus the hope and/or pragmatic wondering about the things one brings to the new land. Will they be the right tools? Have I left something important behind? Did I forget my extra warm pair of socks? Should I have brought my favorite cookbook?

Gemini 9: A quiver filled with arrows
"A quiver filled with arrows" 9 Gemini
Theme: Skill set
Inspiration: Create 'conventions'… pointed specific signs to be employed at the right moment with those closest to you, for these will form a skill-set that will ever serve well throughout life.
Today: Communication continue to to be of importance. Listen for clarifications with a pointed focus for future actions, plus ideas and understandings of engagement coming from a deeper ground.
Points of reference refined and fixed today will serve the seafaring navigator far into the journey ahead. Think of it as gathering a skill set to put into your quiver of skillful means.
If commitments are still being felt out, today will work to take more steps to arriving at firm convictions upon which actions are to be undertaken.
Confusing threads of thoughts can be separated, given space such that discriminating awareness can assess their worth and viability. Since we are in times that oft will flood and overwhelm, such days of clarity and good common sense are to be prized.
Scorpio 25: A X-ray
Penetrating vision...
Seeing beneath surface appearances is a capacity many can relate to. It is a kind of knowing that picks up on what is going on behind surface dynamics. Perhaps this is like sensing the motivation behind a person's words and actions. Perhaps it is understanding something that, while imperceptible to the five senses, seems to emerge out of the background.
Scorpio 25 "A X-ray" suggests individuals with a capacity to see and understand deeply, bringing a penetrating awareness to the subtle nuances that characterize a situation, a person or a group. There is no urgent need to be in the limelight. Working behind the scenes carries its own sense of worth and creative satisfaction.
Considering this quality, these sensibilities press forward to the next Sabian symbol. There we see that something deep and well-integrated about one's sense of self and self-worth begins to seek the tribe to which one belongs.
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun today is Taurus 10: A RED CROSS NURSE WITH WARM SYMPATHY
This is a lovely degree and one that evokes caring and sharing and empathy. How and where will you show up to help someone in need? How can you make a difference to someone’s life through a kind deed, a kind word, or, through sending thoughts of caring to those who need it?
This Symbol shows caring, sympathy and nursing others so they may find health and comfort. You probably have a lot of work of your own, but you have to give your time to those needing help first. A great deal of inner healing can be achieved when helping, however, this can be difficult when you have to do too much. You may have to cross over into the ‘dark side’ in order to bring light to situations. Adopt a hands-on attitude to looking after others and ensuring they get their needs met.
Compassionate understanding and caring. Breaking down borders between one self and others. Finding reserves of energy to keep going. Giving and also receiving. Healing.
The Caution: ‘Fussing’ and doing more than one needs to. Being a doormat and doing more than your share. Being officious and bossy. Feeling used. Unable to rest.
Libra 26: An eagle and a large white dove turning one into the other
Hawks and Doves...
Integrating the warrior function with peace compassion and gentility is a desired goal. When one initiates something from a well-centered sense of the Eagle and the dove, good things can happen.
the eagle is majestic. Known for far-sighted vision that fixes upon its goal, it's prey, the eagle can move swiftly through the air and strike with fierce talons into the heart of its' goal.
The white dove is the universal symbol of peace. When we think of a dove with high functioning warrior sensibilities, the ideas do not at first seem to belong together. In the buddhist tradition, compassion is regarded as 'hard'. That is, sometimes the most compassionate action has a hard edge. Warrior-like decisiveness is often the kindest action possible.
The capacity to change eagle and dove, one into the other, is an example of a highly developed well-integrated human being. When well-grounded in emotional maturity, human greatness is manifest. When unstable and operating out of unenlightened emotionality, lamentable changeability can confuse human interaction.

Aries 11: The president of the country
Presiding over...
The view from here ... is one that sees things from above. Whenever an individual assumes a position of power and authority, there is a natural enthusiasm for pursuing all the possibilities for change, improvement, employing new ideals, and so on.
But with authority comes responsibility. All the things you were going to do now seem like far too many balls up in the air, plus you become keenly aware that if you should drop the wrong ones, others may suffer. Now that is a different perspective!
When it someone else in the place of authority, they are easy targets for criticism and complaint. But now that you preside over matters, things have changed.
Perhaps the key theme in terms of the experience of Aries 11, lies in a sense of self-sacrifice necessary for whatever is initiated.
Maybe its time to let mom and dad off the hook, for example. They were just human after all and doing the best they could...hmmmmm.

Virgo 27: Grande dames at tea
"Grande dames at tea" 27 Virgo
Theme: Aplomb.
Inspiration: The animals need feeding; crops need harvesting; house needs winterizing; washing cooking; cleaning: Lets have tea!.
Today: Settled on their new land, our settler family has so much to do. Everyone takes part… there are no divisions of labour determined by rank and status in this new land. It can take your breath away… the enormity of what has been done to get here, what remains to be done after arriving.
Best plan: take a pause that refreshes. Like having tea… a social ritual ceremony embracing tradition and apportionment of effective considerations for the task ahead.
What needs to be done is so great; what can be done is so small: pay attention to addressing immediate needs within the scope of your capabilities today. Planning far ahead is an organic practice like thought for future cultivation and harvest of rewards. Effective administration is often a burning ember carried in composure and handed gracefully ahead.
The proper set up for large scale labours ahead begins with a civilized and thoughtful pause… Lets have tea!
Pisces 12: An examination of initiates
Qualification round...
Remember those exams when you were being tested to determine what future path you qualified for? Perhaps it was a school examination, the results of which determined whether you qualified for a higher education track or were better suited to more industrial vocations.
At the Olympic games in Vancouver this year, many events have qualification rounds. Performance determines whether a team or individual athlete will advance in the pursuit of the gold medal.
What we need to take from this example is the feeling of being under scrutiny by others, authorities, judges, etc. So the unfolding dynamic from Pisces 11 to Pisces 12 is that of being inspired to go on a quest to fulfill. Pisces 12 introduces a stepping stone where there is an examination of who you are, how you might measure up or qualify for the initial quest.
Refinement and testing begin to loom large as part of the journey.
On a spiritual level, the question is... is this your quest, the one you are suited for, or is it a quest that is someone else's aspiration. For example, a child's calling in life... their quest... may be totally different from their parents aspirations for them. When some one else's aspiration supplant your own, this is another example of having one's breath taken away.

“Daybreak” Leo 27
This Sabian symbol is illuminated at 8:54 AM EDT August 18
Luminosity
Everyone has had this experience; not everyone would necessarily take notice.
There are times, not infrequent, when awareness begins to shine with the soft luminous glow of dawn. The busy world jumps and clammers, distracting attention this way and that, and yet, in the midst of all this rush and flurry, a calm rises.
You can feel it while allowing attention to bend over the inward horizon. It spreads like cool liquid light. It can start as a torch far off in a cave, or a beacon from some impossibly high vantage point. If you stay there for a moment, the light spreads and brightens. Then, from just beyond the Great Wall of Unknowing, something will appear.
What may appear for you is yours alone, however know that at daybreak… in the journey of human consciousness, it is ever daybreak… you are in a space that practically begs for your deepest desires and intentions to be known and realized.
It is a genesis, the dawn of a new day, and you are that glowing eye of creation which is rising.

Aquarius 12: People on stairs graduated upwards
"Going up!"...
One way to think about Aquarius 12, is to imagine an elevator.. a slow lift.
Aquarius 11 suggests a sudden moment of discovery or intuition.
Aquarius 12 suggests, especially in social arenas, the upward climb proceeds at a different pace.
The emphasis on social hierarchy is further characterized by highs and lows. It is as if one starts out with a long climb upwards, perhaps being barred from access to exclusive arenas, then the experienced intensity of social standing, social stature, gradually lessens.
By extension, the dynamic is not so much one of 'break-through' as a gradual rise. Other 12th degree symbols indicate different dynamics concerning coming into the light, emerging into fresh air, breaking through to a new position... all with varying degrees of suddenness and gradient.

Cancer 27: A FURIOUS STORM IN A RESIDENTIAL CANYON FILLED WITH VALUABLE HOMES
Violent Storm In A Canyon energies whipped up can cause storms of all kinds and can indicate the clearing of the air after a time of some confusion or chaos. This can be an interesting time of having to watch your step as you may not know how things are going to fall back into the right place after the energies calm down. Many things can be changed with this degree around. It may be in the news that you’re seeing this Symbol expressed or in your own life. One thing is for sure, the energies can be swirling and it’s good to take things easy and to endeavour not to add to what’s unfolding.
This Symbol implies that you may find yourself much deeper in situations than you had planned, but you find yourself restrained by the walls about you and the turbulence happening in and around you. Strong emotions or events may be unleashed and there may be no escape from the turbulence that is around, but things will settle down and peace will reign once more. The best thing to do is wait it out and protect your self the best you can. Arguments and emotional confrontations emerge as a result of the ‘pressure cooker’ environments in modern-day living.
Psychic energy being unleashed on the community or the environment. Furious emotions. Unexpected releases of power and turbulence. The awesome power of nature. Instability.
The Caution: Wrongly believing that you are in control of an uncontrollable situation. Enjoyment and promotion of emotional storms and turmoil. Whipping things up. Storms.
Capricorn 12: A student of nature lecturing
Fresh take...
All 12th degree placements have a reference to breath and breathing. The Cardinal symbols, especially, stress a theme of fresh air.
It is as simple as when you go outside for a breath of fresh air.
There can be breathing difficulties, or breathing characteristics that are highly informative for individuals with placements in any 12th degree.
A student of nature lecturing is more about a fresh take on a subject matter... nature perhaps... or anything else. It follows Capricorn 11, "A large group of pheasants", perhaps suggesting that the 'ringed-neck' emphasis of the pheasant, is a little too tight... too much emphasis. Consequently, a fresh take can be a refreshening eye-opener... or to stay with the fresh air metaphor... refreshing breath, breathing new life into a matter.

Theme: Turns out
Inspiration: My folks used to say, "Well, look what the cat drug in!".
Today: There are many ways that things come to light. Some emerge slowly, some pop out unexpectedly, some are slips of the tongue, while others are foghorn announcements.
Watch for interesting quips and interesting people today. Something of yourself may come out of the forest as well. Listen for humour and things well said from the background… even from one you would least expect to hear it from.
There is style, artistry and flat-out surety and flare… and perhaps an old friend walks through the door, like the unheard from country, the lost daughter, the "I thought you dropped off the face of the earth" visitor, the "who in blazes is that coming up our walk" caller.
Good day for fun, friendship and maybe using as many old corny sayings as possible.
On a deeper level, the wild side of may sneak out tonight with flare and for fun. "Close your eyes kids! Grandma and Grandpa put Django on the box!"

Sagittarius 12: A FLAG THAT TURNS INTO AN EAGLE; THE EAGLE INTO A CHANTICLEER SALUTING THE DAWN
This Symbol shows being able to proclaim one’s feelings, beliefs, love of country or political opinions, without feeling they are likely to be criticized, shot down or dismissed. Our highest ideals can be expressed proudly, like “A Flag” and as an expression of spiritual purity – “The Eagle” at “Dawn”. You may find that you are regularly moved to burst forth with your ideas, giving voice to what you think and feel. However, some may not like the message or what you have to say, how you say it or where you say it. However, issues that are really worthwhile and ‘centered’ will be seen by many and heard in the clear light of day.
Keywords: Declared idealism. Trumpeting ideals. National pride. Peak experiences. Flags. Symbols of strength, unity and power. Truths. The pomp and ceremony of big political displays. Issues of nationhood. Issues of world domination. Elevated views and perspectives. Forceful voices. Reaching for the highest plane. Nobility and pride. Successful outcomes. National anthems. New empires. Messages from the president.
The Caution: Assuming one is right only because of might or power or because one can say it the loudest. Propaganda. Lording it over others. Seeing other “nations” as being lesser. Loud voices. Bullying.

The Sabian Symbol for Mercury is Taurus 27: AN OLD INDIAN WOMAN SELLING BEADS AND TRINKETS
Do you feel that you get paid for the things you produce? For your work? Your art or crafts? Do you feel that you are valued? That you place enough value on your work?
This Symbol indicates having talents and skills and crafts that reflect one’s culture or abilities. Don’t underestimate yourself and do only what you think others believe you are capable of. These very limitations are telling you of hidden talents and skills that you probably just take for granted. There is something very worthwhile on offer here, don’t wait for passersby to stop and pay attention. Others may think you’re more talented and special than you realize. Get out and show your talents and abilities.
Older, wiser elements of society making offerings to younger, less integrated. Worthy skills. Handicrafts. Artifacts of the tribe or clan. Quiet determination to succeed.
The Caution: Looking down on those that seem less fortunate. Underestimating the true worth of one’s job, hobby or craft. Bickering over money. Sweat shops and slave labor.

“An embassy ball” Scorpio 12
November 3
“An embassy ball” Scorpio 12
Sabian Sage © 2016 Blain Bovee boveeastrology.com
This Sabian symbol is illuminated at 8:03 PM EDT November 2
Sovereign dance
An embassy is, territorially speaking, sovereign land belonging to a foreign country. Enter the Canadian embassy while in Brazil and you are in Canada.
An ambassador is the highest representative of a country in charge of the embassy. Literally, an ambassador is one who moves around freely as if in his own sovereign state. Any individual is an ambassador of his or her own sovereignty… not only independent, but as one’s own highest and supreme chief. Isn’t that a cool idea?
Now the rub.
To act authentically as one’s own sovereign, independent being, runs counter to any known political state in the world, all of which insistently and consistently require of individuals to consent in surrendering their own sovereignty. Camus said, as consent… any signature, identification process, licensing, fee, and so on… “is a web of conformity that is ever more tightly drawn, the only way to live is by the very fact of existing as an act of rebellion”.
At the embassy ball of independent individuals, we dance exemplifying the highest form of dignity and integrity, and by so doing, can be charged with sedition by any known state in the world today. That taxing thought can get a fellow down.
Today, watch how many times you are called upon to give your consent… at the bank, the grocery, any corporate or governmental bureaucracy.
Good day to get some fresh air, to shed some light on whatever chokes and impinges on your own sovereignty. Good day to enjoy a sovereign dance… which means, dance to your own tune. In fact, here… take this… it’s a ticket to your own embassy ball. Consider it a permission slip to be just who you are, free from external impingements. You have heard of the Tennessee waltz… this is the Sovereign dance.
Aries 27: A lost opportunity regained in the imagination
How things come back to you...
After having many gifts, so many that you cannot hold them all, a few have to drop away.
But there might be one of special importance that you wish had been let go.
Aries 27 presents a way to reclaim an opportunity: use imagination. Specifically, this is a move to focus on one gift/talent/opportunity and make it something special. One might append the maxim: if you are good at something, get better.
In terms of things coming back to you, indeed that which was lost may return. This requires an exercise of high imagination... a single-minded focus on what is desired... transcending the ordinary ways of thinking about things.
Transcendence is an appropriate word here. It suggests rising above, in awareness, concentration and focus in order to realize and reclaim that which was lost... or seemed to be lost. Like the little old lady who lives behind our house. She asked me to keep an eye out for her orange cat that just ran off in terror at the sight of the cat carrying case that would take him to the Vet's. I think the cat will come back this evening, or tomorrow morning... if she uses imagination to call the cat in.

Libra 13: Children blowing soap bubbles
Frivolous...
Libra 13 "Children blowing soap bubbles' can sound like fun, harmless play, merriment and frivolity. But then when something you are serious about in your life and in your horoscope lands in Libra 13.... now suddenly, there is complaint.
For example, a love affair gone for naught, a business deal that pops like a bubble, a speech that goes over like a lead balloon.
A most useful theme within Libra 13 has to do with exaggerations... especially of the emotional sort. Matters can easily be blown up and out of proportion, and then prove to be insubstantial.
There is a high degree of power in the 13th degree series. In this case, you find that explosive matters that prove a dud is a good thing.

Pisces 28: A fertile garden under a full moon
The organic way to self-empowerment...
Pisces 28 is rooted in the natural seasonal cycleA fertile garden in winter, is still a fertile garden although at that time nothing grows. A barren stretch of land is barren only during barren times. It can and will flourish again. It seems necessary that, in human life, we go through such cycles in order to get in tune with the earth.
Sometimes you have to go broke before you understand what richness is all about. Sometimes a poor business strategy must completely collapse... whither away in a winter of discontent... before a well-grounded sense of meaningful commerce can arise.
Sometimes, you just have to save your head in order to let your hair grow back in naturally.
There is inner power in Pisces 28... and all of the Mutable 28 degree symbols. But it is a power connected to the earth, to life, and it does not follow conceived plans.
If Pisces 25 is a purging, Pisces 28 is the aftermath of being mowed down.

Virgo 14: A family tree
Deep penetrating roots...
The 'family tree' is beautiful image in common use. It speaks to past roots of biological inheritance, but also to other dimensions of intangible characteristics: cultural; aesthetic; spiritual; traditional; ritual; emotional; and so on and on.
If we as individuals are a tree standing tall in the world, there must be a vast and intricate root system that feeds and nourishes our capacity to grow and be who we are. The task (as a 4th degree in the series, this symbol speaks of a challenge) is to be both who we are as an individual And be aware of where we come from ancestrally speaking.
This implies that there is a kind of split awareness at work through Virgo 14. You may have to unearth family secrets and deal with them. You may have to find and bring a keen awareness of things, like emotional patterns, and choose who you are in relation to them.
For example, if there is a pattern of despair and hopeless futility that reaches way back to granny, great grand granny and beyond, you may have to find who you are in relation to that pattern.
Do you continue the tradition or are you the one who ends the pattern for the sake of yourself and your off-spring?
Most everyone has a few daggers buried in the family plot. This is not a bad thing... it is just a reality... an inherited reality. What you dig up and how you choose to go forward is the task of Virgo 14.

Aquarius 29: A BUTTERFLY EMERGING FROM A CHRYSALIS
This degree shows that it’s time to drop the conditioning, to drop the constraints and limits that may be holding you back. Although you may feel that you’re not quite ready yet to take off, Mars here may be pushing you – leading faster towards your metamorphosis.
This Symbol shows the ability, or the necessity, of growing, expanding, escaping restrictions and evolving into a more expansive sense of self with bigger and better potentials. At times in your life, often crossroads or major turning points, you are likely to be able to realize many of your latent, but promising, potentials. Like an awakening, you are suddenly able to do something that truly reflects you and who you strive to be. This emergence builds for some time; a metamorphosis takes place. Ensure that you take a moment to adjust to new developments before taking flight.
Slow building of confidence. Coming out into a fuller participation. Growing up and out. Leaving yesterday behind. Leaving restrictions. Blossoming and blooming. Emergence.
The Caution: Failing to allow for changes. Feeling like one will never “arrive”. Too much containment and confinement. Unable to move. Being tied to the past. Straitjackets.

PHASE 136 (LEO 16°): THE STORM ENDED, ALL NATURE REJOICES IN BRILLIANT SUNSHINE.
KEYNOTE: The surge of life and love after a major crisis.
The symbol speaks clearly for itself. How brilliant the light after the long "night of the soul"! The battered but unconquered consciousness finds itself exalted in the marriage of sunbeams and rising sap. This indeed is "Release" — light and life singing in the cleansed and refreshed mind, flooded for a while by the waters of feeling.
This is the first stage in the twenty-eighth five-fold sequence. It is a sequence that reveals consciousness at its most inspiring moments of enjoyment. But these "peak experiences" can operate at several levels. The first and most basic level is that of life itself, and of the overcoming of its many crises — THE JOY AND POWER OF NEW BEGINNINGs

Cancer 18: A hen scratching for chicks
Uncovering what is needed...
'Coverings' seem to be a consistent motif throughout all 18 degree symbols. In Cancer 18, we see a hen scratching for chicks, suggesting showing the chicks how to forage for food where there looks to be none.
Imagine a financial situation. If you are flat broke.. out of scratch... you may believe all resource is exhausted. But through this symbol, one can scratch around and come up with some scratch... if you follow the theme scratch = money.
So, rather than coverings, the symbol for Cancer 18 suggests conveying how to uncover what is needed. The transmission of knowledge is one of a deeply encoded or ingrained nature. Just think of young birds or animals that have left the nest too soon for whatever reason. They perish because they have not yet received the transmission from their parents. This example of a lack of resource further illuminates the positive dimension of this Sabian symbol.

Capricorn 3: The human soul receptive to growth and understanding
Avidity...
Marc Edmund Jones uses the keyword 'avidity' for Capricorn 3. This has always been of interest to me. 'Avidity' means, on the one hand 'eagerness'. But it also means the overall strength of binding between an antibody and an antigen in biochemistry.
This is significant. It suggests the word image for Capricorn 3 carries a metaphor likened unto the function of the human immune system.
Consider the link with other motifs written previously for Cancer/Capricorn 3: 'binding', in psycho-dynamic senses as well as psycho sexual (creative) aspects. Cancer 3 "A man all bundled up in fur leading a shaggy deer". The word 'bundling' reaches out to 'binding', tying together, wrapping, bundles, heaps (skandhas in buddhist sanskrit).
The 3rd degree Cancer/Capricorn is also connected with 18 Cancer/Capricorn, "A hen scratching for her chicks" and " The Union Jack"... both symbols that address, on one level, the function of transmission through DNA of nature and the information for survival in the game, gamos, of life. Further reflections on these themes can be found in the archives here for the respective degree-symbols.
Jones' use of the keyword 'avidity' is keenly alive to these dimensions of sense. Therefore, we can be alert to issues of immune system function in Cancer/Capricorn 3, as well as carry the metaphor to understanding how as humans we respond to our environment... a constant interplay between known and unknown which is a dynamic that requires receptivity in order for growth and understanding to occur.
The Sabian Sage Daily for Dec. 23-24, 2010, will introduce another element to these thematics: tenderness and indestructibility.
One might consider other senses of immunity... legal, for example. The idea is that, following Capricorn 2 "Three stained-glass windows, one damaged by bombardment" addresses that which can be destroyed , yet cannot be destroyed. Think of tearing down a church, cathedral or temple. The bricks, stones and mortar can be razed, but sacred space can never be destroyed. Carry this reflection to Capricorn 3 and one can feel the movement that both builds and destroys, that is both building blocks and yet tender and receptive.
And Capricorn 1, "An Indian chief demanding recognition". If you follow the flow through these symbols, a story emerges: One stands up and claims power.... "I am up for the job/position"... there are criticisms, objections that suspend the matters while in the approval/disapproval process.... there is a natural response to the objections, much like an immune response to toxic bacteria, or there is an awareness that one is immune to attempts to bring you and your ambitions down.
I suppose Nietzsche's oft quoted line , "What does not destroy me makes me stronger" may in apt here.

The Sun On The Old Owl Degree: Sagittarius 5
By Lynda Hill
Posted November 26, 2014 In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun today is Sagittarius 5: AN OLD OWL PERCHED HIGH UP IN A TREE
This Symbol implies the ability, or the necessity, of being able to quietly observe what’s going on around you. Owls can turn their heads right around and very little escapes their attention. At the same time, they’re not easily detected in the trees as they usually only come out at night. They wait and watch and listen before making their move. The wise “Owl” sees all, seeing what others miss, and keeps very quiet whilst digesting all that’s going on. There may be a need to consult with aged wisdom, either within yourself or from without. Emulating this behavior can bring feelings of solitude, but this may be just what’s sometimes needed. This degree can indicate insomnia caused by thinking or doing too much at bedtime.
Wisdom and strength. Evening contemplation. Night owls. Peripheral vision. Nocturnal vision. The spirit of birds. Silent flight. Acute hearing. Lofty ideals. Educated.
The Caution: Smug denial of available wisdom. Not saying anything even when it’s needed. Acting like one knows it all. Acting old before one’s time. Waiting for prey.
Taurus 21: A finger pointing in an open book
Citing the exception...
"Look here. It says right there in the rule book that all people are, and will be the way they are, and will be with no exceptions... except for those called by another deeper call in life"
Taurus 21 works with other 21st degree symbols to bring out the theme of 'exceptions'. An exception to the rule is that which supersedes the defining or prevailing measures of assessment.
In a social context, we experience this during those freeing moments when the opinion of others does not matter. In this moment, you are an exception to the rule. In belief systems, this refers to moment when an article of faith is no longer relevant... that deeper spiritual experience , life experience prevails over a belief structure.
It is important that the 'book' is 'open'.
Scorpio 7: Deep-sea divers
"Deep sea divers" 7 Scorpio
Theme: In deep
Inspiration: Words of fore-warning can fall on unreceptive ears.
Today: The full Moon approaches. Tides may swell beyond expectation… or fall short. The truth is one never knows until the critical moment is reached.
There is an element of disappointment to the day. It may be that crowds do not care for the message they are receiving. it may be that the message itself is a bit overblown and fails to materialize. But one thing is clear. Some may be in deep, depending on lifelines of any sort. There are positive signs, and sound information available. Choosing the right course of action is actually favored today.
The key is to stay alert. Listen for on-going information and updates. Taking extreme positions in any direction can lead to regrets.

Sabian Symbol for the New Moon in Aries
Aries 22: The gate to the garden of desire
Is it mere coincidence that the English word 'gate' and the Sanskrit word 'gate', meaning gone or beyond are spelled the same way? The metaphor carried in Aries 22 suggests that a garden, symbol of lush fertile bounty, is available to enter... if you so desire. The gate, however, is the key.
If you have a block carried within you somehow, that which you desire may not be manifesting. Consider carrying a deep-seated belief that things such as money, material goods, rewarding career, fulfilling relationship are just not in the cards for you. This may not even be a conscious belief. You may say, "Oh of course, I desire all these things", yet still something seems to bar the way to having them.
When Aries 22 is invoked energetically, an opportunity to go beyond the block, the gate, presents itself. When other factors involving other planetary energies are engaged, one can dissolve huge blocks of resistance to what you desire.
Aries 22 speaks to the fact that you can have all that you want and more. The key lies in how you work the gate.

“ Libra 8: A Blazing Fireplace In A Deserted Home
By Lynda Hill Posted October 18, 2015 In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill 0
Mercury is on Libra 8: A BLAZING FIREPLACE IN A DESERTED HOME
Are you feeling lonely? Unsure about your safety and security? Feeling perhaps like there’s no one to talk to about the issues facing you? Missing family and/or friends? Feeling the desire to get back to an earlier time when you felt safer, more loved?
This Symbol implies the ability, or the necessity, to provide warmth and reassurance in times of emptiness, loss or desertion. You may need to remember that even in times of real loneliness, when you feel separated from your ‘center’, there is a constant, unseen, sustaining energy always ready to welcome you home: whether it be the fire of your own spiritual center, the warmth and familiarity of family and kin, or a knowing that one is sustained by humanity at large. You may need this reassurance yourself or you may be the one to help others in their hour of need.
Security and comfort left behind. Wood for burning and heating. Gas and electricity. Holiday homes. Homes rarely visited or inhabited. Homes filled with love, if not people or possessions. The warmth of the heart or the hearth. Fertility issues. Sweat lodges.
The Caution: Isolation, separation, abandonment or bitterness. Sabotage by or of loved ones. Being forced out, possibly for social reasons. Divorce. Latch-key children.”
The Sun On Pisces 23: A Materializing Medium
By Lynda Hill
Posted March 13, 2015 In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is Pisces 23: A ‘MATERIALIZING MEDIUM’ GIVING A SÉANCE
How interesting is this degree in the light of the fact that Mars and Uranus are on Aries 16: The Brownies Dancing In The Setting Light Of The Sun and Jupiter is on Leo 14: Cherub-Like, A Human Soul Whispers Into Every Receptive Ear, Seeking To Manifest… this feels so much like there are spiritual or psychic energies hanging around at the moment… the Sun on this degree now amplifies it.
People have reported that they are sensing spiritual energies, fairies, nature spirits, helpers arriving…
This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to be able to pick up subtle energies and psychic clues in the environment. The “Materializing Medium” can receive radiations, frequencies or vibrations that cannot easily be sensed by most people. At times in your life, you will experience a surprising sensitivity and awareness to spiritual forces and energies. This can cause confusion, other times enlightenment. Sit with any new impressions you receive until you understand their authenticity or depth. Sometimes there is a need to free up ‘stuck’ or earthbound entities. This degree can also show someone who can “Materialize” things; they can make things happen just by thinking about or concentrating on them.
Spiritual channeling. Seeing things ahead of time. Giving voice to spirit. Messages from the other side. Tarot readings, clairvoyance and clairsentience. Manifesting.
The Caution: False fronts or performances. Making things up. Using mind control to get a desired outcome. Weird energies or people. Quacks. Imposters. Fakes. Delusional.

All 8th degree symbols involve an odd dynamic. There can be emptiness of hopes and dreams 9the person who has a loving home with no one to share it with), there can be a sense of being out of place or a sense that all that is desired is consistently just beyond one’s grasp.
In Virgo 8, the theme seems to be one of having a ton of personal ability and potential. Imagine a natural ability to dance with no training in in personal history, no experience of being shown how to dance. Now imagine that raw talent coming to a dance studio where everyone is considered to be at the same level, the same beginner position. It may seem frustrating to have to start at the beginning, but that’s where you begin... so.
In meditation practise, the mind is trained by ever returning to an awareness of breath. Every breath is , in this sense, the first breath. Even skilled masters of any discipline, must start at the beginning.
The idea, through Virgo 8, is cultivate character refinement through simple mindful discipline.
Fresh start. First position. First step. First thought. Everyone ready.”

“The Sun is on Aquarius 23: A BIG BEAR SITTING DOWN AND WAVING ALL ITS PAWS
A Big Bear Sitting Down And Waving All Its PawsAre you feeling like you’ve got to respond to people in a way that pleases them but doesn’t honour who you truly are? Do you have this sense that you’re somehow going through the motions but don’t really have your heart it in? Are you finding it hard to perhaps live up to society’s expectations of how you should perform? Are you, or is someone else, always waving their hands around, investing in some kind of drama that is getting them (or you) nowhere?
This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to develop responses and perform above and beyond the normal expected level. Issues of having to do what others tell you, or having to perform along the lines of how you have been trained may be fine for a while, but eventually you are likely to tire of doing the same things or not being taken seriously. Perhaps there are things you don’t want to do, but it seems your duty to perform. Look to your situation and see if you are compromising yourself or just acting out conditioned responses. Perhaps you are indeed excelling your normal level of performance, only you can tell.
Developing skills. Entertaining people. Performing for the crowd. Playing instruments, dancing, arm waving. Animal training. Fun vs. drudgery. Learning by example. Training.
The Caution: Being unable to recover your feet. Instinctive and creative performing for the crowd or desire to be the center of attention. Defying authority. Being vulnerable.”
